The purpose of Shakespearians Productions, Inc. (SPI) is to foster in young people an appreciation of literature through live theatrical productions. SPI's K through 12 programs is designed to inspire a step-wise appreciation of education and literature that extends beyond the productions themselves. By relating the themes of classical literature, which transcend ethnic and economic distinctions, to the day-to-day life of today's youth, SPI advances the education of all students from different cultural and social backgrounds. By engaging its audience naturally and respectfully in literary discussions, SPI encourages the development of mutual and self-respect in young people.
